Our Algae Body oil is ultra-hydrating and skin nurturing. We have combined Micro-Algae Carotene and Green Caviar to create this oil along with many other mega skin loving oils and extracts. We recommend using this oil as soon as you get out of the bath or shower. Be sure to towel dry off and then rub the oil in well all over your body. This oil can be used anytime but as with any oil, lotion or cream it is more affective after showering when your skin is more receptive to moisturizers. This oil also helps to moisturize, hydrate and many more.
This oil smells beautifully like French Plum Seed oil, absorbs very fast leaving no greasy feeling and makes your skin feel silky smooth. Below are the botanicals we have used in this oil and their benefits.
Micro-Algae (Pink Algae) Carotene infused Oil - This oil is a rich source of beta-carotenes (Vitamin A) and natural vitamin B12. When beta-carotene is applied to the skin it becomes an active form of retinol and aids the skin in many ways. It is also a rich source of natural omega fatty acids making it a super emollient.
Green Caviar (Sea Grape) - Caviar Oil is a beautiful, hydrating, non-algae smelling oil that is similar to hyaluronic acid. This oil contains β-glucan which is similar in structure to hyaluronic acid. This oil is intensely hydrating and moisturizing. It is also high in Vitamins A and C, as well as Amino and Omega-3 fatty acids.
French Plum Seed Oil - Plum oil is rich in the polyunsaturated essential fatty acid Linoleic and Oleic which is a monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid. Plum oil is highly skin nourishing and moisturizing. It has a light texture and absorbs quickly into the skin. Also worth noting, it smells so good, especially when mixed with the other oils in this body oil.
Lupine Oil - This oil is a very high content of Oleic & Erucic Acid making it a powerhouse for dry skin. Oleic acid is very beneficial for helping other ingredients absorb more quickly and maximizing the benefits. Lupine Seed oil also contains Omega-3 Linolenic Acid and Omega-3 Linoleic Acid which are soothing. It is a rich source of minerals, vitamins and peptides that contain glutamine.
Pear Seed Oil - This oil is light, fast absorbing, and hydrating. Pear Seed Oil is highly moisturizing and leaves the skin feeling soft and silky.
Squalane (Sugarcane) - Squalane helps with moisturizing and it will not clog pores. Squalane offers exceptional hydration and has the ability to absorb quickly making it a great addition to blends with heavier oils that do not absorb as easily.
Kukui Kernel Nut Oil - Kukui Nut Kernel Oil has an incredible ability to absorb quickly and deeply hydrate. Kukui Nut Kernel oil also soothing and can help the skin in a variety of ways.
Green Tea Extract - Green tea is a powerful force full of skin beneficial compounds that aid skin in many ways. Green tea extract contains polyphenols: catchin, gallogatechin, epicatechin, epigallocatechin, epicatechingallate and epigallocatechgallate. These polyphenols all have very beneficial properties for skin.
